A collective transformation is under way. We are in the midst of recreating our world. It is time. The people or situations that make us feel pushed to the limit are the catalysts and allies that are leading us to reexamine our assumptions, search out information based on truth, and to make new choices. The events of our current time are catalyzing both global and personal change – and this need for change has been building for some time. We are experiencing a push in consciousness, a raising of awareness about our self and the world we live in. All are affected.
Change can breed uncertainty, anxiety and fear. Being in the middle of a situation with an unknown outcome can be an uncomfortable place to be. So how can we contribute to the most benevolent outcome in any given situation? First we must remember that our personal energy setups – our thoughts and emotions – combine to create the collective emotion-thought field of energy that we all experience. Sometimes this collective energy seems to be a separate entity unto itself, but it is really us, all together.
This means that the collective energy expression mirrors the energy of all of the individuals that make it up. It also means that as individuals change and evolve the collective begins to change and evolve as well, as a reflection of that. This process is at work all of the time. We have seen the results in our history. As we learn and evolve individually our outward experience eventually reflects those changes. We move beyond old perspectives and find new ways of doing things, letting go of whatever is no longer relevant, effective or healthy.
We know at the quantum level that energy follows focus. Prolonged attention on anything activates the potential of that which we are focused on to eventually manifest in our experience. That is why it is important to be aware of the tone of our thoughts and to process emotions like anxiety, anger, fear, depression, or the feeling of not being in control. We all feel these emotions from time to time. Experiencing the emotions and being informed by them is different than getting stuck in them. When we find our self in prolonged periods of challenging emotional states we begin to activate experiences in our life that mirror that same kind of energy. Our outward experience is always reflecting our inner energetic stance back to us.
“Everything you experience mirrors a part of you…”
– Alberto Villoldo
How can we add our influence for the most benevolent outcome in any situation? Of primary importance is tending to the use and expression of our own energy. Here are two simple yet highly effective tools that you can use every day:
1. Stay grounded.
Being grounded creates a physical and energetic home base for your self. Grounding is an intentional focusing of energy, which balances and supports the body-mind connection. When we are grounded we are able to be more aware, intentional and effective in our life. Grounding brings the energies of our body, mind and spirit into alignment, which supports our creativity by establishing communication between the body, mind and intuition. And grounding connects us to the Earth. Which is also home base.
Exercise: Sit quietly and spend a few moments focusing on your breath. Watch the gentle rise and fall of your breath pattern…not changing it, just witnessing it and feeling the experience.
Now imagine a column of light running through the center of your body. Begin to allow that column of light to extend downward until the end connects securely with the center of the Earth. Notice what that feels like – What does your physical body feel like? How do you feel in your physical body? Repeat often.
2. Spend time imagining what you want and how it feels.
If you can imagine it you can create it. Our intuitive, non-linear, right brain function is the seat of imagination and creativity. Among other attributes, the right brain is good at connecting information (versus separating) and can problem solve with hunches or gut feelings. It does not operate in a linear, step-by-step manner but instead is fluid and spontaneous. As children we use this natural attribute freely but for most of us our imaginations are soon corralled by parents, education, or other influences. Imagination is a cornerstone in the creative process. When we are aware of its potential and power we can use it to influence our own experience, as well as that of others, for the most benevolent outcome.
Exercise: Imagine yourself living a life that feels joyful, creative and purposeful. You may see pictures of what this might look like or you may just sense what this life would feel like. However it comes to you is perfect. Pay attention to how you feel. What does living a joyful, creative and purposeful life feel like as you imagine it or sense it? Breathe that feeling in, around and through the center of your chest, your heart center.
Now imagine everyone on the planet living a life that feels joyful, creative and purposeful. Feel what that feels like. Breathe that feeling in, around and through your heart center. Repeat often.
“No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.”
– Albert Einstein
Einstein’s famous quote sums up why raising our consciousness is so important. The clarion call is to rise above the level of energy that has created the issues that we now face in order to find sustainable, honorable, life-affirming solutions. Change happens from within. It begins at the personal level by practicing this in our own life. This then shifts the collective experience.
Here are some ideas to help to shift the level of our personal consciousness as well as that of our collective family:
Learn about your energetic operating system. A driverless vehicle is a liability to all.
Read, research, explore and examine your assumptions about your self and the world around you.
Look into the Global Consciousness Project which tracks the effects of focused, interconnected collective consciousness.
Research some of the latest discoveries in quantum physics at The Resonance Science Foundation.
Stay curious and ask questions. Explore independent information and media sources.
Make conscious choices about how you focus and “spend” your own energy, which includes the energy of your thoughts, emotions, time, money, words, actions...
We are birthing a new world. The gift to our self and our collective family is our own focused, intentional use of energy. Together we have the power to change the world in a positive way.
“Life is a choice.
All day, every day.
Who we talk to, where we sit, what we say, how we say it.
And our lives become defined by our choices.
It’s as simple and complex as that.
And as powerful.”
– Louise Penny
Thank you for your gift,
